He has also pursued a solo career, releasing two personal albums: 'Poor David's Almanack' (2017) and 'All the Good Times (Are Past & Gone)' (2020). However, perhaps his greatest musical endeavors have been as a collaborator with fellow singer/songwriter Gillian Welch, the duo's collaborations having produced some of the highest quality and most beloved Americana albums of recent years. Rawlings' guitar playing and Welch's songs are the perfect pair, and together they produce some of the highest quality music around.
