"It’s not lost on me that live music is a shared moment between the performer and the fans. And every time I play a show, whether it’s solo or with a band, my own show or opening for someone, I always try to think about that moment and the people that make that night different and unique." - Brian Leseney Fennell
These were words that Brian Leseney Fennell, AKA SYML, shared on Instagram after a show in September 2024. This brief description seems tailor-made to describe the experience that you'll have once he takes the stage at the Moore Theatre on Friday, December 5th. His shows, both in his solo efforts and as part of his band Barcelona, are a personal affair with the audience.
Bubble Tea and Cigarettes are going to provide the much-needed support on this night. They bring some chill beats of their own, that soft voice and acoustic vibes will ensure the concert never gets too "high." Their lyrics are a bit off the wall, they love talking about getting food late at night. That's very romantic for a lot of people. If you're in that crowd then you'll want to make sure to arrive early at this show to catch their songs.
The entire event promises to take you on quite the emotional ride. If you want to get on, then click the "Buy Tickets" button soon!
It's another homecoming date for SYML, who is set to add this stop in Seattle and another in Portland to his No Body Lives Here tour. These shows are always extra special since SYML is from the area. That may be the reason his heartfelt songs pair so well with a cup of coffee on a rainy day. If you've been to any of these SYML performances or maybe a show with Brian as part of Barcelona, you know that they can get deeply emotional. That soft voice that just barely pierces through the sound of the music has the power to calm anyone down. Yet, if you take a deep dive into the lyrics, you'll realize there's more to the song than what you expect from your typical background music at a cafe.
This might be a question that you're asking yourself if you're new to the SYML experience. Maybe it's your significant other who wants to go to the show, and that's why you're here looking for tickets. Well, one of the reasons why SYML has been such a phenomenon is certainly songs like "Where's My Love" and "I Wanted to Leave." When you pair those types of songs though, with the cozy venues and the Seattle weather you can start to see what's happening. In a world where most artists are looking for their next catchy summer hit that doesn't say much, SYML is writing music for the soul. Apparently, the crowds of people who are coming out to see him thank him for that.
The Moore Theater fits the bill as a cozy venue where fans can get up close and personal to SYML and truly take in the show. It's one of those nights where it could really pay off to sit near the stage. Then again, you'll be just fine further back. Maybe from these spots it's going to be easier to head over to a concession stand and grab that cup of coffee that, as mentioned, goes real well with the show.
You already know these shows are selling out. SYML's first stop of the tour in Seattle sold out. This promises to be no different. Therefore, click the "Buy Tickets" button now to find your seats.
