Indigenous Enterprise is the leading voice in the indigenous performance community. The group, founded by Diné men’s fancy war dancer Kenneth Shirley, specializes in various powwow dances. They have toured all over the world and performed in major venues like the Sydney Opera House. The ensemble has also appeared on TV, notably performing in the television series World of Dance. Moreover, they also performed during Joe Biden’s presidential inauguration.

Since its inception, Indigenous Enterprise’s goal has always been to showcase Native American culture. During an interview with Vogue, Shirley expounded on the troupe’s mission. “When we were in Australia, that was the first time a lot of people had ever seen a Native American. We want to showcase what real Indigenous people look like – not the Hollywood negative stereotypes.”

The troupe often uses contemporary music from Indigenous groups like the Wild Band of Comanches, Bull Horn, and Northern Cree. The dancers wear striking regalia and fancy shawls. Indigenous Enterprise also performs dances from different tribes – each showcasing the culture in a sophisticated manner. Some of these dances represent animals essential to the tribes' culture. Particular dances represent a horse. Others perform chicken dances – which can be connected to North Plains and Blackfoot roots. The dancers have always performed with their elders in mind. They dance for the ones who can’t. So each Indigenous Enterprise performance uplifts their elders, youth, and the disabled.
