Moore Theatre - WA
El Flaco & Julio Preciado come to the Moore Theatre on Saturday, March 14th. These two represent the old and new schools of banda music. Don Julio Preciado was the voice of not one but two of the most iconic bandas, El Limon and El Recodo. He's also built an impressive library of music through his solo career. Those tracks are going to be on full display with Luis Angel, "El Flaco," formerly of "Los Recoditos," helping out.
This show is super fan-friendly; neither El Flaco nor Don Julio is tied down to specific setlists or time slots. They're going to take the stage and pretty much sing what the crowd demands. Don Julio can pull songs from his days at some of the best bandas in the world. It's a rare sight in modern banda concerts! A lot of the old-time songs, particularly from the 80s and 90s eras that shaped the genre, are almost forgotten these days. Yet, when Don Julio Preciado takes the stage, he's bringing those old romance beats back to the forefront. "Tu Ya lo Conoces" and "Dos Hojas Sin Rumbo" are two of the tracks from his solo career in the late 90s that are likely going to get live renditions in Seattle.
El Flaco is also bringing his solo hits to the table. Those are going to get mixed in with some of the classic banda songs like "Que Me Siga La Tambora." Have you already pictured yourself singing that intro, doing your best, "Ay Mama por Dios?" Then "El Flaco" will have a time to get his set in. "Y Si Se Quiere Ir" is one of the top songs that have cemented El Flaco as a main player in the genre after his departure from "Los Recoditos."
