What to expect from an event at Moore Theatre

Looking at the exterior of the Moore Theatre from the street outside, you may not expect much. It looks rather simple and almost plain, some might say, but looks can be deceiving. 

When you step inside the auditorium, the theater takes on a whole new life. It is unlike any other in terms of interior architecture and design, featuring onyx, marble, stained glass, muses, and mosaic floors, with ivory, old rose, olive, and gold décor.

One of its most iconic features is a steel girder that spans the entire width of the house. This girder holds the balcony up so that there is no need for columns that can obstruct the audience’s view of the stage.

In terms of interior decoration, you will see a combination of Byzantine and Italianate styles, including white ceramic and terracotta tiling, finished with the finest in luxury furnishings and fabrics. The result is a stunning visual experience that enhances the atmosphere of the performance.
