Corinne Bailey Rae is an English singer-songwriter who rose to fame with her 2006 single "Put Your Records On". Her debut album sold over four million copies, and dominated radio stations around the globe. Her first single was "Like A Star", the track which her 20th anniversary tour is named after. 

In 2004, she was signed by Global Talent Publishing and approached by Mark Hill to feature on his "better luck next time" album. The collaborative track "Young and Foolish" came out in April 2005, bringing her attention from major record labels. She then released her debut single "Like a Star" in November 2005, manifesting what every hopeful music star could ever dream off. Her debut album came out in 2006 and spent 71 weeks in the Billboard 200 for two years. In the U.S. alone, she sold over 1.9 millioon copies. This was largely driven by the massive success of her global hit "Put Your Records On", dominating downloads and radio airplay as fans tuned in on their iPods and mp3 players at the time. It was definitely a great era to be alive.

Since then, she's made round in the R&B scene with every record she's released. She received three nominations at the 2007 Grammy Awards for Record of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist. With a legacy of glitter and gold in R&B music she's made an iconic mark in music history.
