Seattle… y’all READY to laugh, think, gasp, clap, and then laugh even harder with us in the crowd for one of the best shows of the season!? ‘Cause this Spring Moore Theatre - AKA one of the most historic and beloved rooms in the entire Pacific Northwest and our home of  is gearing up to host one of the sharpest, smartest, and most globally celebrated comedians working today. On Friday, March 6th, 2026, we are beyond excited to welcome Vir Das to the stage as part of his brand-new “Hey Stranger — A Tour of the World.” And yea folks : this is very much a WORLD tour, a big one at that, with Vir zig-zagging across continents, cultures, and comedy scenes to bring this show to life. When a comic who sells out theaters from Mumbai to London to New York decides to pull up to Seattle? You show up. Period. 

Vir Das is a writer, actor, global storyteller, and cultural translator in the best way possible - laughter! Born in India and shaped by life across the world, Vir has built a career on comedy that feels personal and universal all at once. He started performing stand-up in the early 2000s, grinding through clubs before quickly becoming one of India’s biggest comedy exports, eventually making his way onto massive international stages, Netflix specials, and sold-out world tours. If you’ve seen Landing, you already know — the man literally took home an International Emmy Award, and did it while making the entire room laugh and think at the same time. Not an easy feat.

What makes Vir so special isn’t just the punchlines, but  how he uses humor to zoom out and show us a global perspective of his life at large. His comedy dances between politics, identity, family, freedom of speech, relationships, and the absurdity of modern life, all without ever losing the room. One moment you’re laughing at a joke about cultural misunderstandings, the next you’re applauding because he said something that hit a little too close to home. He’s fearless, thoughtful, wildly funny, and painfully honest. And quite frankly?
