Henry Cho's Comedic Legacy

The American stand-up comedian was recently inducted as the newest member of The Grand Ole Opry, marking comedy history aas the first comic to do so since 1973, and the first Asian-American to ever be invited to be a member of the Opry. 

The man's humor is grounded in his Knoxville, Tennessee upbringing as he often uses his experiences growing up as an Asian American in the South in his stand-up comedy. Sharing that he's an "Asian with a Southern accent," people have become amused with that fact from the get go. 

Cho appeared on several TV shows from the late '80s through the '90s, becoming a staple name in comedy through his appearances on "Bob Hope's Young Comedians Special", "The Aresnio Hall Show, "VH-1's Stand-Up Spotlight", "A&E's An Evening at the Improv", and many more. He also has a couple of guest roles in sitcoms such as "Lenny", "The New WKRP in Cincinnati", and "Material Girls", to name a few. In more recent times, he made appearances on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson.
