Whose Live Anyway? That's a great question, and actually, the answer is a lot of the top improv comedians who made the TV show a household name. This performance is making its way back to the Moore Theatre in Seattle on Sunday, January 18th. Comedy tours can be an odd thing because these days they've become a fully rehearsed bit that keeps going from town to town like the circus. Then there are the boys from "Whose Live Anyway," who come out onto a stage and rely on their wit and comedic genius to help the crowd have an amazing time.
They're even up there, taunting the crowd, shuffling the cue cards to make sure that they get themselves into the most random of situations and still find a way to craft a mini skit on the fly that's going to have them and the audience on the floor laughing. You know that it's a great time because they're in Seattle almost every year. If they were lousy, they wouldn't come back around! You're not going to find a better comedy show than this one, and you know it! Whose Live Anyway? is back in Seattle. We here in the Pacific Northwest have made sure improv comedy found a forever home, it seems. These guys make it out to the Moore Theatre almost on a yearly basis. If there's one element of this performance that's a guarantee, it's that nothing that's going to happen on stage is scripted. The only thing that's written down are those cue cards that they use to build scenarios and get the ball rolling. Just watching these comedy masters go to work can leave you in awe as they craft these laugh-out-loud moments.
Now that we think about it, there are actually a couple of ways to answer this question! Hopefully, you and your friends and that's why you're are reading this right now. Also, Ryan Stiles, Greg Proops, Jeff B. Davis, and Joel Murray are slated to make an appearance. We've got some members of the original TV show that started it all in that lineup. Word on the street is that Drew Carey might also make an appearance at some of these stops. If we're lucky, that includes this performance. His presence can really bring a sense of nostalgia into the picture.
Comedy shows open up the front of the theater for a lot of people. Although you might be looking up at "Herb Melnick," being close to the stage gives you a connection to the performers. In this case, these guys are ready and willing to interact with fans. This is a free-for-all show after all. Still, if we're being honest, the best spots to have a "full" view of the show can be found in the middle of the theater, quite a few rows removed from the stage.
