One of the favorites of the Seattle intellectual crowds, Professor Brian Cox, comes to the Moore Theatre on Saturday, January 16th, 2027. Professor Brian Cox has crafted a completely new multisensory experience titled "Emergence." That's coming off the back of a widely successful run with "Horizons," his previous showcase. The only issue that folks here in Seattle are going to have to contend with is spoilers!
The Emergence Tour is going to begin its showings through 2026, and yet Professor Brian Cox didn't book a Seattle date until early 2027. That one kind of hurt professor people in the Northwest have been fascinated by his multi-sensory experiences, way before Horizons truly hit it big! You still get the incredible views of the cosmos, and if you've been to one of these live experiences before, you understand that when the theater goes dark, it's because you're getting ready to see something special. We've already mentioned that there might be some spoilers out in the multiverse by the time that Professor Brian Cox hits Seattle, so there's no sense in adding to that list!
If you're new here, then perhaps the best way to describe these Professor Brian Cox shows would be to say that they're a blend between a true sharing of knowledge with an incredible musical score and breathtaking visuals. If college courses were this entertaining, perhaps we'd have a much higher graduation rate! In any case, you're guaranteed to have quite a few wow moments throughout the showcase. Of course, there's also a chance that you pick a few things from this performance. In previous stops here in Seattle, Professor Brian Cox has taken part in incredibly insightful Q&A sessions. That's likely going to be on the highlight reel for this stop in early 2027 as well.
You might be torn between trying to find a spot near the stage to have a better up close and personal experience during the Q&A and finding a spot in the middle of the theater with a wide view of everything that's going on. As mentioned, one of the elements that sticks out from these showcases is the incredible visuals. This is not your average professors' Power Point presentation. To experience it to the fullest, you might want to be a few rows removed from the stage and leaning toward the middle of the Moore Theatre.
