Lukas Nelson rose to prominence in 2008 upon launching his band Lukas Nelson & Promise of the Real. The sensational country rock band toured relentlessly and released several outstanding studio efforts independently. By 2013, Nelson had also joined the line up for his father’s band Willie Nelson and Family. He often joined gargantuan tours like the Outlaw Music Festival, playing guitar for his legendary father. In 2017, the band got their big breakthrough when their self-titled fourth album, peaked at number 2 on the Top Country Albums chart on Billboard. That same year, Nelson co-wrote many songs with Lady Gaga and actor Bradley Cooper for the film, A Star is Born. His work in the film’s soundtrack won him a BAFTA Award and a Grammy Award. In 2025, Nelson released his debut album, American Romance and is slated to deliver his first solo headlining tour this fall.
