Everytime you all ask us for MORE - well, we just have to deliver. It IS in our name after all - you ask for MORE shows to fill up the calendar, we got you! MORE openers and diverse acts, we got you! More fun snacks and drinks to enjoy?! DUH! And now - a night at the Moore that’s gonna give us that eclectic experiecne we’ve been waiting for so long. A night of Jazz - Funk - Classical compositions that we’ve been looking for. Hiromi’s Sonicwonder, led by Japanese multi-instrumentalist Hiromi Uehara, we’re truly in for a treat here at The Moore - as per usual though, for all of us who’ve been to a show here before. But if it’s your first time here - welcome! We can’t wait to see ya here! Make sure to get here early on Tuesday the 5th and to bring your besties who love Japanese Jazz, too - this one’s gonna be oh so major and oh so special. 

Hiromi Uehara’s career as a musican seems to be the convergance of right place right time and skill all meeting her in physical and magical ways - or luck as we like to call it from time to time. When she was 17 she met Chick Corea on the street and was asked to play for him the next day. She played the opening ceremony at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. She’s written jingles for Nissan since she was fifteen. And after getting the opportunity to come to the States to study at Boston’s Berklee College of Music, she got signed to a label before graduation. Her first venture outside of releasing solo projects has been her Sonicwonderland - which released their debut, Sonicwonderland, back in 2023. And now - they’re back with their latest project and tour Out There to really get… well, Out There! They’ve been touring all across the continent and then some off of this project - and it makes sense. The Sonicwonderland’s create fresh sounds to staple genres - sitting in conversation with other international greats like BadBadNotGood and Pink Martini. But don’t get it confused folks, they’re carving our a totally new lane for themselves with a Japense flare as well. AKA - you just gotta check it out yourselves to really understand the hype.
