There's just so much to unpack about this night. You can bet that if you're in the crowd, you're going to get emotional, and this is an evening that you're going to remember. This one-night-only event hopes to honor the legacy of Charles R. Cross. There are very few music journalists who have been as influential to the industry as the late Charley. His work on the life of Kurt Cobain is one of the most remembered by fans. Yet, that's only a small part of the life of a man who was able to bring together performers from different genres in a way few others have ever done. That's why on Friday, May 9th, so many artists are going to be gracing the stage at the Moore Theater to honor his legacy.
Again, we ask, what better way to celebrate the life of this man than through music? That's why the iconic Sir Mix-a-Lot will be on stage at the Moore Theater. The "I Like Big Butts and I Cannot Lie" singer will be leading the way for over a dozen performers. Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Nancy Wilson also answered the call and wanted to be a part of this celebration.
The music is just going to serve as part of this event. John Richards, one of the local voices of KEXP, will be your host for the evening. His role in merging the music with many of the story times and emotional moments that are sure to be part of the night will be key. Just know that if you're here on Friday, May 9th, it's okay to shed a few tears even if you didn't have a personal connection with the late Charles R. Cross.
There will be no pit tickets available for this event. If you want to be close to the stage, you're going to have to find a spot in the orchestra section. At an event like this, just being inside the theater is good enough. You should look for a spot in the middle of the venue to have the best perspective of the entire show.
Plenty of folks will want to be a part of this celebration. Spots start at $78, so click the get tickets button now to make sure there's room for you inside the Moore Theatre.
