Known for reimagining your favorite classic video game tunes, the 8-Bit Big Band is all set to share their jazzed-up renditions of hits from Zelda, Mario, Sonic the Hedgehogm, Final Fantasy, and many more on stage this year. With a fifth full-length album coming out this summer, the ensemble looks forward to dazzling 8-bit souls once again this year.

Led by Charlie Rosen

Formed in 2017, The 8-Bit Big Band started dominating the growing live musical & orchestral concert scene. They have taken the legendary music and theme songs from the world's most loved electronic game franchises through time.Since then, they've won massive praise and acclaim from critics and fans alike.

The ensemble is led by Charlie Rosen, a two-time Grammy and Tony Award-winning composer, arranger, musical director, producer, and multi-instrumentalist. His music has been heard and praised across several theaters and worldwide. 

"I’m excited to be able to bring reimagined orchestral video game music magic to extended new territories across the globe this year!" shared Rosen via an official release. "I hope fans of video games, Jazz, orchestras, or just great musicianship will come join us as we celebrate the ever-growing body of work that we are lovingly calling ‘The Great Video Game Songbook’ with some wild new takes on some of our favorite themes from our beloved pastime of over 40 years!"

As a group, they have won a Grammy Award for "Best Arrangement, Instrumental or A Cappella" in 2022 for their "Meta Knight's Revenge" performance from Kirby Super Star. They also received another nomination for "Last Surprise" from Persona.  

8-Bit Madness

The craze is on. As they press play on tour, fans of these classic video game franchises can't help but be dazzled by their jazz takes on these soundtracks. Teaming up with MGP Live to bring these concerts across the U.S., they tease that this year's show will take it up to the next level.

In 2023, the band released their latest album "Game Changer", featuring iconic renditions of "Tifa's Theme" from Final Fantasy VII, "Song of Storms" from The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, "Last Surprise" from Persona 5, and many more. 

Over the years, they've also shown their dynamic abilities to share fresh takes with variuous types of video game tunes. "FNAF 1 (Big Band Version) showed their capability to transform horror, while  on "Bob-Omb Battlefield", they showed a unique groove with bouncy beats.
