Gabby's Dollhouse, the live experience, is FINALLY making its way to the US after a super successful tour down under! The show features Gabby and all of her favorite furry friends on all sorts of adventures that kids are going to be able to enjoy. This is a great opportunity to introduce your little ones to a new format of entertainment that doesn't involve being glued to a TV screen. You're doing that with characters that they already know and love, which is a major plus.
The show's going to take place at Seattle's Moore Theatre on Friday, December 12th. It could also be a massive breather for parents who have kids in the house all day, leading up to the holidays. A lot of fans of the show were surprised when this live experience with Gabby and her friends got an opening in Australia before it made its way stateside. That speaks to the popularity of the show down under, but it also means US audiences are getting a re-worked version of this theatre spectacle that kids in Seattle are going to be able to enjoy a lot more. Also, with the release of Gabby's Dollhouse, the live action movie coming in September, you can be sure your little ones are going to be stoked for a chance to see her live at The Moore Theatre.
The characters and the songs from the cartoon are obviously going to be present. That's not the only thing that the producers of this live experience thought about when creating the show. It's only about 75 minutes long. You can let go of the worries over whether your kids are going to be able to "handle" the entirety of the performance behind. The 2 30-minute acts with a 15-minute intermission will help you get them to refuel and refocus. Thanks to the relatively short acts, if you time it just right, you're going to be able to get them to the bathroom when they need to without having them miss part of the show. That's certainly one of the goals the creators had when designing Gabby's Dollhouse Live!
Your kids might want to gravitate toward the front of the stage. If you know that they might struggle with sitting a few rows back because maybe they won't see as well, then don't hesitate to buy tickets in those front rows. However, you might be able to convince them that Broadway experts say you should sit in the middle of the theater, quite a few rows removed from the front. That's where the best views are. Yeah, it might be a hard sell, but hey, best of luck to you!
